Down on West Raja Street in Ekkattuthangal, you’ll find our little workspace at number 118. It’s right on the Sundar Nagar Mainroad, so the sound of buses and cars is basically our background music all day long. Being an interior designer sounds glamorous to some, but mostly it’s just us carrying heavy catalogs and trying to find out why a supplier is three days late with a tile order. Our shop is a bit of a squeeze because we keep so many samples of wood, fabric, and laminate lying around. You have to watch your step or you’ll trip over a carpet roll. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and we’ve seen it change quite a bit. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us with a pencil behind an ear or a tape measure clipped to a belt. We talk to a lot of local homeowners who just want their kitchens to work better or their bedrooms to look a bit nicer without spending a fortune. It’s honest work, and we like seeing a room come together after weeks of mess and dust. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make sure people have a nice place to sit at the end of the day. It is a lot of work, but we like it here.
