Our place is in the Guindy Industrial Estate, specifically on the 11th Cross Road in Phase III. Guindy is a big hub, so it’s always loud with the sounds of machinery and people moving about. We’ve got a unit here at S-10 where we handle different types of controls. It’s a lot of metal and wires around the shop floor most of the time. The team here just gets on with it. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff in the office because we're mostly focused on what's happening on the work floor. It's a standard industrial setup. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep up with the orders that come through. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes it tough, but that’s just part of working in Chennai. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a map to find our way around the maze of the estate. People know us for being there at the same spot every morning. We do our own thing and don’t worry too much about what the big corporations are doing. It’s just practical work for us. The building itself has some age to it, but it serves the purpose. We keep the tools organized and the floor swept when we can. It’s an honest living for everyone here and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
