Medhasvi Educational Foundation

We are tucked away on 4th Street in Padmanabha Nagar. It’s an old building, number 45, though it used to be number 20. Adyar is a nice part of Chennai to be in. The trees give some shade, which is good when you’re walking to the office. We spend our days here working on educational stuff. It’s mostly just us sitting around a few desks, making calls and writing things down. It isn't a fancy corporate office with glass walls. It feels more like a home that turned into a workspace. We like it that way because it's comfortable. There’s always someone coming in with a question or some documents. We try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but that's just Chennai for you. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just a few of us doing what we can for the foundation. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s a steady pace most weeks. We focus on the practical side of things. There’s always a lot to organize with the programs we run. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the list. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t need much else besides our computers and a bit of quiet to get the job done well.
