Masood Clinic

Masood Clinic is tucked away behind Bharati Womens Arts College on Pedariar Koil Street in Mannady. Mannady is one of those parts of Chennai where the streets are narrow and everything is very close together. Finding us for the first time might take a minute if you aren’t used to the turns. We’re at number 8, and the neighborhood is always bustling with students from the college and local shoppers. The clinic itself is modest. We have a small waiting area and a couple of rooms for consultations. It gets quite warm here, so the ceiling fans are almost always on. We handle a lot of common illnesses, the kind of things that bother people in their daily lives. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s a mother with a child, other times it’s an old man from just down the street. We’ve become a part of the routine in this corner of Mannady. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the desk is cluttered with pens and papers, but it’s a functional space. We take things as they come. If someone needs a prescription or a quick check, they know where to find us. It’s a simple life running a clinic in this area. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just stay here and do the work, helping out the neighbors whenever they feel under the weather.
