Maryam Fathima Foundation

The Maryam Fathima Foundation is located over in Chennai. Specifically, we are at Old No 4, New No 5 on Barathiyer Street. This is in the Thanthai Periyar Nagar area, which people usually just call T.P. Nagar, in Tharamani. The address can be a bit confusing because of the old and new numbering system, but once you find Barathiyer Street, we aren't too hard to spot. Our office is a very simple and practical space. We don’t have any fancy carpets or modern art on the walls. It is just a place where we sit down and do our work every day. Tharamani is a busy part of the city, so there is always the sound of traffic and people outside. We don't mind it though, as it makes us feel part of the community. We are just a local group of people and we don't have a big corporate budget. We don't do any promotional stuff or try to sound bigger than we are. We just focus on the paperwork and the people who come to see us. It is a very honest, straightforward way to run a foundation. We have been in this building for a long time. It has its quirks, like a door that squeaks and windows that are hard to open, but it works for us. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and that is it. We are just a small part of the T.P. Nagar neighborhood.
