Madras Red Fort Doctors Foundation

We are located at 57 Arcot Salai in the Chennai area. If you know Chennai, you know Arcot Salai is one of those roads that never really sleeps. There is always noise from the traffic and people going about their business. Our foundation is based in a building along this stretch. It’s not a shiny new tower, just a regular place where doctors and others come together. We have a few rooms that we use for meetings and keeping our records. The walls are a light blue and there is a lot of sunlight in the mornings. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or expensive art. The chairs are mismatched because we just bought what was available at the time. Working in Chennai means dealing with the heat and the humidity every day. We have an old AC unit that rattles, but it keeps the room cool enough to think. Most of us have been around the medical field for a long time. We aren't here to put on a show. We just want to do the work we set out to do. Sometimes we sit around after work and talk about how the city has changed since we were kids. It’s a busy life, but it’s our life. We keep things moving one day at a time.
