K.A.S Charitable Foundation

We’re based in Erode, specifically in Thirunagar Colony. Our office is on Street 3. It’s New No. 228, but if you’re looking at older maps, it’s still Old No. 16. The building is on Arumugam Street. It’s a busy little neighborhood with lots of houses and small shops. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors are all used to us by now. We do a lot of charitable work, so there’s usually someone stopping by to drop something off or ask a question about a program. The office is pretty simple. We have some old wooden chairs and a few cupboards for all the records and files we've collected over the years. Erode can get very hot, so we have a couple of big fans going all day long to keep the air moving. It gets a bit noisy when the schools nearby let out in the afternoon, but otherwise, it's a decent place to work. We don't have a big corporate team with fancy titles. It's mostly just local people who want to help out where they can. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters at our desks. Sometimes we have meetings on the small porch if the weather is nice in the evening. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls or anything like that. We just look at what needs doing each morning and try to get it done by the end of the day. It's just a regular local office.
