Our office is tucked away on the first floor of the Surya Foundations apartment building. It’s at number 6, units 9 and 10, specifically. Unnamalaiammal Street in T. Nagar is one of those places where you really have to know where you’re going to find it. It isn’t on the main road, so it stays a bit quieter than the rest of the neighborhood. We have a small group of people working here as business advisors. Usually, the day starts around nine or ten depending on how bad the traffic was that morning. The space inside is pretty straightforward with a couple of partitioned rooms and a central area for the staff to sit. We’ve got some files stacked up in the corner and a coffee machine that gets used way too much. Being in an apartment building means we see the same few neighbors every day, which is nice. It makes the whole work environment feel more like a community than a cold office block. We handle a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. Sometimes we take lunch breaks together at one of the small messes nearby. It's nothing fancy, just a place where we do our daily work. We like it here because it's central but still has that residential feel. T. Nagar is always buzzing, but once you step inside our door, it’s mostly just the sound of typing and some quiet conversation. We keep the windows closed to keep the dust out.
