Iyengars Spices

Our little spot is located at 22/1 in Ashok Nagar. It’s not a huge place, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Most of the day is spent handling different kinds of spices that come in and go out. You can usually smell the place before you see the sign. It is a very specific kind of work, dealing with all these powders and seeds. My hands usually smell like coriander or turmeric by the time I go home. Ashok Nagar is a decent area to work in. It is mostly residential around here, so we see a lot of the same faces walking by every day. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The building is older, but it serves its purpose for what we need. We don't really do much in terms of advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a bit while we are packing things up. It gets a bit crowded inside when we have a new shipment arriving. There isn't much space to move around then. We just pile the sacks up and work through them one by one. It's a steady pace. Nothing too fast, nothing too slow. We just keep the shop running and make sure everything is where it should be. It is just a normal local business doing what we know how to do.
