Globus Spares Pvt Ltd has its base at P1, Phase 2 in the Vsi Estate. Being in Tiruvanmiyur is quite handy for us. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always something going on with machines or parts. We spend most of our time in the warehouse or at the desk handling orders. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it needs doing. The estate can be a bit of a maze if you don’t know your way around, but we’ve been here long enough that we could find our way in the dark. We handle spares for various things. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we catch up eventually. It is just a handful of us working here. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly boxes and shelves. We like the pace of Thiruvanmiyur. It’s busy but not too crazy like the center of the city. We’ve made some good friends with the other businesses in the Vsi Estate over the years. We share tea sometimes when things are quiet. If you are looking for a specific part, we usually have a look through the inventory and see what's what. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just tell people what we have and what we can get. It is a straightforward way to run a business. We hope to stay in this spot for a long time. It works for us. We just keep the doors open and get on with the day.
