Fathima Clinical Lab

Our lab is located in Mugappair East, which is a pretty busy residential area. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while now. Every morning starts early because that’s when most people want to get their blood tests done before they go to work or have breakfast. It’s a lot of organizing tubes, labeling samples, and making sure the machines are ready to go. The space isn't huge, so when five or six people are waiting, it feels quite crowded. We have a small desk where we take down everyone’s details and hand out the reports later in the day. Sometimes the printer acts up or we run out of forms, but we manage to get it sorted. The neighborhood knows us well, and we see the same faces coming back for their routine checkups every few months. Mugappair East has changed a lot since we started, with more shops and traffic, but our little lab stays pretty much the same. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV or anything. It’s just a place to get your tests done and go about your day. We spend most of our time looking at slides or typing up results. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the morning rush when everyone is in a hurry. We just try to keep things accurate and keep the line moving. There is always more paperwork to do than we expect.
