Kanchan Films (P) Ltd

Our office is right on Ellis Road, just across from the mosque. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how loud and crowded it gets with all the traffic and people moving around. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years, dealing with the film side of things. It’s an old building, nothing like those glass towers you see in the newer parts of the city. Inside, there are posters on the walls and plenty of old files that probably should have been cleared out years ago. We handle the day-to-day business of movies, which usually means a lot of phone calls and meeting with folks from the industry who are always in a hurry. Being right opposite the mosque means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which kind of gives the place a rhythm. It’s a bit dusty, and the stairs are steep, but it’s home for us. We don’t really do anything fancy here, just the regular work of keeping the company running and making sure the distribution stuff gets handled. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is moving along, and other times it’s just us sitting around waiting for a delivery or some paperwork to arrive. It’s just how things go on Ellis Road, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if it was any quieter. It’s a messy, fast-paced world, and we are just a small part of it.
