Dr R Velmurugan Clinic

People usually find us on Oliver Road easily enough, though Mylapore can get pretty crowded on the weekends. This building at number 49 has been here a while and it shows, but it does the job. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and making sure the waiting area is decent before anyone shows up. It’s a small clinic, nothing too fancy. You’ll see Dr R Velmurugan around most of the day, usually busy with someone in the back room. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and the occasional temple bell from nearby, but once you step inside, it gets a bit quieter. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that, just a desk and some chairs. Some of the neighbors have been coming here for years because it’s just where they’ve always gone. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't spend much time on decorations; we mostly just focus on keeping things organized. Sometimes the fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we keep meaning to fix, but it keeps the air moving so it stays. The light through the front window is nice in the afternoons when the sun starts to dip. If you’re looking for a shiny corporate office, this isn’t it. It’s just a regular local spot where people come when they need to see the doctor. That’s pretty much the whole story of the clinic here in Mylapore.
