D L K Career Development is located right on Arcot Road. If you know Vadapalani, you know how busy it gets around here with all the traffic and shops. Our office is at 172/66. It's not a huge building, but it works for what we do. We mostly spend our time helping people figure out what to do with their jobs or schooling. It started as a small idea among a few of us who lived nearby. We realized that a lot of younger folks were confused about where to go next. So, we set up this place. There's usually someone sitting at the front desk, probably drinking tea or sorting through papers. The walls are a bit plain, maybe need a new coat of paint, but the chairs are comfortable enough for a long talk. We talk to a lot of people every day. Some are nervous, some are just looking for a change in their life. It’s interesting work, seeing everyone’s different paths. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated systems. We just sit down and talk like normal people. Arcot Road is always loud with traffic, so we keep the windows shut most of the time to keep the noise out. It’s a decent spot. We’ve been here for a bit and have gotten to know the shopkeepers next door. If you’re around Vadapalani, stop in. We might be busy, but we’ll find a minute.
