Color Coat Interiors

Our place, Color Coat Interiors, is located at Shop No. 8/23 on 1st Main Road in Kodambakkam. Specifically, we are in the UI Colony part of the area. It is a bit of a tight space inside the shop, but we manage to fit all the samples and books we need for the day. Most days involve looking at different shades and figuring out what people want for their rooms. Kodambakkam is a busy area, and being on the 1st Main Road means there’s always something happening right outside the door. We have been here for a bit now, and the shop has its quirks, like the door that sticks a little when the weather gets humid. We do interior work, mostly painting and fixing things up inside houses. It is a lot of dusty work sometimes, and we often come back with paint on our clothes. I usually have a tea in the morning before the day really gets going. The shelves are packed with catalogs and paint charts that have been flipped through a thousand times by different people. Being in UI Colony, we see the same people walking their dogs or heading to work every morning. It feels like a small community even though Chennai is a huge city. Color Coat Interiors isn't a massive showroom with bright lights, just a practical shop where we get things done. We spend a lot of time out on various sites too.
