Classictracks

Down here at No, 46/42 Ganapathi Nagar, we spend most of our days working on whatever comes through the door. Being located in Ganapathi Nagar 2nd St in Ekkattuthangal means there is always a lot of traffic around us. Classictracks isn't a massive operation. It’s just a few of us in a space that’s usually a bit cluttered with parts and tools. Chennai weather is no joke, so we mostly work with the shutters up to catch any breeze coming through. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to chat or ask for a tool. We've got a lot of old stuff sitting on the shelves that we might need one day, and even though it looks messy, we know where everything is. The floor has some oil stains that won't ever come out, but that's what happens in a place like this. We don't have a waiting room or a fancy coffee machine. People usually just stand around or sit on a plastic chair while we finish up. It’s loud because of the nearby main road, and the power goes out occasionally, but we just keep at it. Most of our day is spent cleaning up after one job and starting the next one. We try to get things done before it gets too dark because the streetlights on this corner aren't the brightest. If you are looking for us, we are right there in the middle of the street, tucked between the tea stall and the small grocery store.
