Cholai Foundation

Our foundation is located in Mangadu at No.5, A.R. Nagar, right near CTA Garden. It’s a part of town that’s still growing, so there is often some construction noise or dust in the air. The office is a very simple building, nothing more than a few rooms and a small porch area. We don’t have any fancy signs out front, so you really have to look for the door number. Inside, it’s mostly just us at our desks. We have some basic chairs for when people come by to talk to us. It’s not a corporate place at all. We wear casual clothes and we don’t have any big meetings with fancy presentations. We just talk about what needs to be done and then we do it. There’s a small tea shop just down the road where we go when we need a break. The area is fairly quiet except for the occasional bike or truck. We keep our files in simple plastic crates and we don’t have a lot of high-tech equipment. It’s a very practical way to run things. We’ve been in Mangadu for a while and we’ve gotten to know the people around here. It’s a low-key operation and we prefer it that way. We just show up every morning and work through our list of things to do. There is always plenty to keep us busy.
