Changebhumi Foundation

We’re based in Chennai, right on K.B. Dasan Road in Teynampet. Our address is a bit funny because it has both old and new numbers—Old 3&4 and New 5&7/A-2. We are on the 2nd floor. It’s a busy area, so there’s always the sound of horns and traffic coming through the windows. Changebhumi Foundation is what we call ourselves. We aren't a big corporate firm with glass partitions. It’s just a regular office where a few of us work on local projects. We mostly try to focus on small changes that can make things better in the city. Chennai is huge, and it’s easy to feel like you aren't making a dent, but we just keep at it. Our office is a bit cramped with all the files and supplies we keep, but it’s our space. We don't have any marketing people or a fancy PR strategy. Most of our work comes from just knowing people and being involved in the community. The elevator in our building doesn't always work, so we’ve all gotten pretty good at taking the stairs. We aren't doing this for the recognition. It’s just practical work that we think is important. Some days are stressful and we don't get as much done as we’d like, but that’s just how it goes. We’re just a small team trying to do our part here in Teynampet.
