C11 Organisation For Social Change is tucked away in T Nagar at Sippy Flats. We are at 9/17 Flat No 11 in Block B on Srinivasa Street. T Nagar is a very busy part of Chennai, as anyone who lives here knows. There’s always noise from the traffic and people walking to the shops. Our office is just a regular flat. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of files and books piled up. We’ve been working out of this space for some time. We try to help with social issues in the city. It’s a lot of meetings and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes we have visitors, but usually, it’s just the few of us working on our laptops. The building is older, and the elevator can be a bit temperamental, so we often just take the stairs. Srinivasa Street is a good location though, very central. We don't have a big budget for fancy things. We have a few desks and some chairs that don't quite match. It feels like a home because it used to be one. We focus on the work we can do from here. It’s about trying to make small changes where we can. We don't have a big corporate structure. We just talk things through and decide what to do next.
