Blubow Confectionery Private Limited

Blubow Confectionery is tucked away in Anna Nagar, specifically at Plot 1181 on 11th Main Road. Our unit is G-45, and it’s right on the corner of First Street. Chennai 600040 is a busy area, but our little street is a bit more tucked back. We spend most of our time making various sweets and treats. It’s a lot of watching timers and making sure the sugar doesn't burn. The kitchen gets pretty warm during the middle of the day, so we keep the windows open when we can. We aren't a massive factory with robots. Most things here are done by hand or with simple machines that we’ve used for years. We started this because we liked the idea of having our own shop in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of work, though. There is always a floor to sweep or a vat to scrub out. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Most of our work is done in the back, and people just come to the door if they need to pick something up. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, there are boxes everywhere. That’s just part of the job. We don’t worry too much about looking professional; we just want to make sure the sweets are good and the orders get delivered on time. The humidity here in Chennai can be a bit of a challenge for the candy, but we’ve learned how to deal with it.
