Our shop is over at No 2 Indira Nagar in the Menambedu part of Ambattur. Sri Saravana Industrial Suppliers is basically where you come when you need parts for machines or tools for a factory. Being in Ambattur, we are right in the middle of all the industrial activity. The shelves are packed with all sorts of metal bits, bolts, and tools. It’s dusty sometimes because of all the heavy items coming in and out. We spend most of our day helping people find that one specific size of screw or a tool they can't find elsewhere. It’s a small place but we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow road for a minute while we unload. We don't have a big showroom or anything, just the counters and the racks. People from the nearby workshops stop by all the time, often in a hurry to fix something that broke down. We know many of them by name since they’ve been coming here for years. It’s noisy outside with the traffic, but inside it’s just us counting inventory or checking orders. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here in Indira Nagar. It's a simple operation. We open early and stay until the work is finished. It’s a practical kind of job. We just provide the supplies people need to keep their machines running.
