Jeyam Packaging

Jeyam Packaging is located over at No. 199-A on Nageswara Rao Road, down 2nd Street in Athipet. We have been here in this industrial pocket for several years now. The whole place is filled with the sound of cutting machines and the smell of cardboard. We make boxes and wrapping materials for other businesses nearby. It is not the most glamorous job, but every product needs a box, right? Our workshop is usually full of stacks of corrugated sheets piled almost to the ceiling. We have to be careful moving around so we do not knock anything over. Most days, I am busy calculating dimensions and making sure the glue is holding properly. We have a small crew, and we all know how to run the different machines if someone is out sick. The road outside gets pretty muddy when it rains, which makes it tough for the loading vans, but we manage with some wooden planks. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you will probably find me with ink on my hands or carrying a stack of flats to the loading dock. We take pride in the fact that our boxes are sturdy and do not fall apart. It is a lot of repetitive work, measuring and cutting and taping, but there is a rhythm to it that I like. We are just a local shop trying to provide a necessary service for the neighborhood factories and businesses.
