Alcheme Sales Pvt. Ltd. is located on the first floor of 1-B, which is on 1st Street in Venkateswara Nagar, Adyar. Adyar is a nice part of the city, but it can get quite hot in the afternoons, so our office is usually a bit of a refuge from the sun. We are just a few blocks away from the main road, so it is relatively quiet compared to the rest of the neighborhood. The office itself is pretty simple, with a few cabins and a common area where we sit and go through the sales figures. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants, though we sometimes forget to water them. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone and coordinating with warehouses. We aren't a huge team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to fixing the printer when it jams. The street outside is narrow, and sometimes the delivery vans have a hard time turning around, which usually causes a bit of a commotion. We like the vibe of this area because it feels like a real community. There is a small shop nearby where we get our snacks, and the local postman knows us all by name. It is just a straightforward place where we come to work, handle our sales, and then head home like everyone else in Chennai.
