A C Rajan & Associates is located at No 2/19 on Varadharajulu Road. If you know where Hotel Dasprakash is in Egmore, then you’ve probably passed our place a dozen times. It’s a well-known landmark in this part of town. Our office is a fairly standard professional space where we handle architectural planning and related consultancy. Operating out of Egmore for a long time has been good for us. It’s a historic area with a lot of character, and being part of the local business community is something we enjoy. The work involves a lot of technical drawing and meeting with clients to discuss their building needs. Using a lot of fancy jargon or trying to sell people on things they don't need isn't our style. It’s more about figuring out the best way to use a piece of land or how to renovate an old structure. Desks here are usually piled high with site reports and zoning documents. That amount of paperwork is just how you get things built properly. A small group of people works here who really know their stuff. Most days, we walk down to the local cafes for lunch and see the buildings we've helped work on over the years. Seeing your work standing there in the real world is a nice feeling. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes in. Regular folks looking for solid advice and workable plans make up most of our clients.
