M L & Sons

You can find M L & Sons at number 6 on Singaperumal Koil Street, over in Ganapathy Nagar. It’s a family-run spot, mainly just me and a couple of others keeping things moving. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the doors creak when it’s humid out. We handle a bit of everything that comes through the door. Usually, the desk is covered in papers and receipts because we aren't great at the filing part of the business. We prefer the actual work. The street outside can get pretty cramped with bikes and the occasional cow wandering through, but that's just life in this part of town. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes the stock takes a few days to arrive from the city, so we have to tell people to wait, but they usually understand. We keep the shutters up from early morning until the sun goes down. It's a lot of manual labor and standing on our feet. The back room is where we keep the bulk of the items. It’s dark and stays cool even when the sun is beating down on Ganapathy Nagar. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s been this way for years, and we don't see much reason to change it now. We just take it day by day.
