Kollihills Natural Spices Privatelimited

Our place is located in Vadakkupattu, over in Kovilambakkam. You have to find Thiruvengadam Nagar 4th Street to see our sign. It is Plot No 5. Kollihills Natural Spices Privatelimited is what we do. Obviously, we focus on spices that come from the hills. The Kolli Hills area has such good stuff, so we try to bring that here. Our warehouse is simple. It's not air-conditioned or anything, just open windows and a lot of bags. Spices like pepper and cardamom take up most of our time. We spend the morning sorting through what came in. Kovilambakkam is growing fast but our street is still mostly residential and calm. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the sneezing when we grind the peppers. It’s all part of the job. We are a private limited company but it feels like a family run thing. No suits or ties here. Usually, I'm in my slippers moving crates around. We chose this spot because it's easy for the trucks to come in and out. The air around the 4th street always smells a bit like cloves. It’s a good way to live. We don't aim to be the biggest, just to keep the quality decent. It's hard work, especially in the humidity, but we like it. The building is just a plain concrete structure. Nothing special to look at, but what’s inside matters more to us. We stay busy and we stay local.
