J J J Readymix Concrete is located at 652, Melakkottaiyur. This isn't a city center location, so we have a bit more space than some other businesses might have. The site is mostly dominated by the large mixing equipment and the fleet of trucks that we use to transport the wet concrete to various construction sites nearby. It is a very industrial atmosphere. There is almost always the sound of engines running or the heavy drums of the mixers turning. When you work here, you get used to the smell of wet cement and the sight of grey dust on everything. We don't have a fancy headquarters; our main building is just a functional office where we track the deliveries and make sure the mix is right. Most of us spend our time either driving or supervising the loading process out in the yard. Melakkottaiyur is a bit quieter than the main city, but our site is always busy. We don't have much of a "front desk" culture. If you show up, you’ll likely find us in the yard or near the trucks. It's a lot of physical labor and watching the clock to make sure the concrete gets where it needs to go before it starts to set. We just focus on the daily schedule and making sure the machines stay in good working order so we can keep up with the demand.
