Our place is at number 26 in the Yerrappa Industrial Area. We are located in Channenahalli, which you can find along Magadi Road in the Tavarekere area. It is quite a distance from the main parts of the city, so it is mostly just factories and workshops out here. We work with polymers and do a lot of production work throughout the week. The building is a large shed made of corrugated metal, so it gets very loud when the machines are running or when it rains heavily on the roof. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years, and we all know the routine pretty well by now. The roads around the industrial area are not in the best shape, so it can be quite bumpy when the trucks come to pick up the finished goods. We don't have a proper office with air conditioning or anything like that. I just have a small corner with a table and a few chairs where we handle all the paperwork. There is always a layer of dust on everything because of the nature of the work we do, but we try to keep the machines clean. We usually start very early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Most of our neighbors are also in manufacturing, so we all understand the long hours and the hard work that goes into running a place like this. It is just a practical, local business.
