Our school is out at Navegaon Khairi, which is part of the Parsioni Tehsil. It’s quite a way from the main city of Nagpur, so it feels very different out here. We are surrounded by more open space and a lot more greenery than you would find in the town center. Being near the dam area means the air is a bit fresher, though it can get very humid. The school is a bit of a community on its own. Since we are a bit isolated, everyone knows each other really well. The buildings are spread out and we have plenty of room for different activities. It is a quiet life for the most part, except when the students are moving between buildings. We don’t have the noise of heavy city traffic, just the sounds of the local area. The staff lives on-site or nearby, so we are always around. Our days start early and end when the sun goes down. The classrooms are simple and functional. We don't have much need for fancy extras. It’s all about the basic needs of the students and making sure they have a place to stay and learn. Sometimes the commute into the city takes a while, so we stay put mostly. It’s a peaceful spot for a school, even if it’s a bit out of the way for most people. We just take it day by day.
