We set up AJB Builders over in Thakurkurchi-25, which is out near Chandarpur. Anuj Baruah is the main person here who keeps things organized. If you know the area, you know it's a bit quieter than the middle of the city, which suits our team just fine. We spend most of our time out on sites, looking at foundations or checking on how the brickwork is coming along. Building things around here means you have to really know the land and the weather. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of people. We are just a smaller team that knows each other's names and works together every day. Sometimes things go slow when the materials don't show up on time because of the roads, but that’s just part of the job we have to deal with. We try to be honest with folks about what can be done and how long it’s going to take. Most of our tools are kept in the back, and we’re usually out the door by seven in the morning to beat the heat. It’s a lot of physical labor, and the sun can be brutal in the summer months. Still, there’s a certain pride in seeing a house or a wall finished. We don’t do much advertising at all. Usually, people just hear about us through word of mouth around Chandarpur. We've lived around here for a long time, so we care about how the neighborhood looks.
