Virbhan Om Parkash

Over here at Sector 35, number 174, it’s mostly about keeping things moving. Virbhan Om Parkash has been a name people recognize around these parts for a good stretch of time. We aren’t doing anything fancy. Most of the day is just spent handling the stock and talking to whoever walks through the door. Sector 35 is a busy place, always people walking by or cars trying to find a parking spot. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we try to keep everything someone might need right there on the shelves. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific item if you aren’t used to how we organize things, but we know where every single box is. My father started this and we just kept going with it because it’s what we know. We see the same faces every week, neighbors and people from the nearby blocks. It’s nice to have those chats while we’re weighing things out or bagging them up. The weather gets hot in the summer, and the fan just pushes the warm air around, but we stay open. We don't really have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the name and the work we do every day. It’s a simple life. We close up when the sun goes down and do it all again the next morning. It’s honest and it keeps us busy enough to not worry about much else.
