The Kitchen Knight

The Kitchen Knight is based in Chandigarh, right in the 160001 area. We don't have a big storefront with neon signs or anything like that. It’s mostly a busy kitchen where there is always something bubbling on the stove or someone chopping vegetables. The space is filled with the sound of knives hitting cutting boards and the hum of the refrigerators. We spend a lot of our day dealing with suppliers and making sure we have enough fresh stuff to get through the orders. Chandigarh is a planned city, but our kitchen can feel a bit chaotic when three or four orders come in at once. We don't have a team of managers or a corporate office; it’s just us making sure the food gets out the door. The floor gets greasy, and the air gets thick with steam, so we’re always wiping things down and keeping the vents running. It’s hard work, and by the end of the shift, we’re all pretty tired and ready to head home. We don't use any pre-made stuff if we can help it, which means more work for us, but it feels right. Sometimes we mess up an order and have to do it over, but we try to be honest about it and just fix the mistake. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place where the focus is just on the cooking itself.
