Doks Dollar Shop

Our shop, Doks Dollar Shop, is right on 391 Andheri-Kurla Road in Sector 44. If you know that road, you know how loud and busy it gets at all hours of the day. We are right in the middle of all that noise. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items, from household stuff to little toys and gadgets. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are in the aisles at once, but that’s part of the charm of a local shop. We spend most of our day behind the counter, ringing up small sales and chatting with people who are just passing through on their way to work or home. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so we are always wiping down the shelves. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just us making sure the stock is topped up and the prices are marked clearly. Sometimes we get odd requests for things we don't carry, and we try to see if we can get them for next time. It’s a simple life, watching the traffic go by on Andheri-Kurla Road and helping the neighborhood find what they need for a few bucks. We’ve been in Sector 44 for a while now, and we’ve become a regular stop for many people in the area.
