Sustainable Rural Livelihood Andagriculture Development Foundation

Our office is located at House Number 0195 B in Sector 51 A. It’s a quiet enough spot in Chandigarh. Sustainable Rural Livelihood Andagriculture Development Foundation is the name we use, though it is quite a mouthful to say all at once. We mainly work out of this house, so it has a very casual feel to it. There are always papers piled up on the tables and the tea kettle is usually going. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to do our part with the rural and agriculture stuff. It's a lot of coordination and planning. Some of us grew up on farms, so we understand the practical side of things better than the theory. Sector 51 A is a decent place to work from. The neighbors are friendly and we don't have much trouble. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at maps and charts. It isn't always exciting work, but it needs to happen. We try to keep our overhead low by staying in a regular house instead of a fancy glass building. It feels more honest that way. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power goes out, but we just deal with it and move on. We aren't here to impress anyone with a big lobby. We just want to get the work done as best as we can without any fuss.
