All India Womens Conference South Punjab Chandigarh

We are over at building number 286 in Sector 11. Most people know the spot because it’s the Indira Gandhi Bhawan right near the Gurudwara Sahib. It’s usually pretty busy around here with folks coming in for meetings or just to check on things. We’ve been part of the South Punjab area for a while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get the work done. Sometimes the weather gets really hot in Chandigarh, so the fans are always going. We spend a lot of time talking to the women who stop by. There’s a lot of paperwork usually piled up on the desks. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets a bit messy when everyone is busy at once. People from the neighborhood often drop in to ask questions or just to say hello. It's a community space really. We have some chairs set out for whoever needs to sit for a bit. The building has its quirks, like the door that sticks sometimes or the way the light hits the floor in the afternoon. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. It’s mostly about showing up every day and seeing what needs to be handled. No one here wears suits or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to it. That’s pretty much how it goes at the All India Womens Conference here. We keep a teapot ready for visitors too.
