We are located in Zirakpur at the Shivam Market, which is quite close to the Fort Agencies. If you come by, you’ll probably see the dust before you see the sign. That’s just part of selling cement. We have bags stacked up all over the place. It’s a heavy job, moving all that weight around every day. We get a lot of builders and local guys coming in who are working on houses nearby. The market gets pretty crowded, especially when the big delivery trucks are trying to back in. It’s a lot of shouting and waving arms to get everything parked right. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a practical store where you get what you need for your construction. My clothes usually have some white dust on them by noon. We’ve been in Zirakpur for a good bit of time and watched the whole area grow with new buildings going up everywhere. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when it’s not too hot and wait for the next customer. It’s honest work and it keeps us tired. We don't use a lot of technology, mostly just a notepad and a calculator to keep track of the sales. The neighbors are good people and we all help each other out when things get busy. It’s just a basic shop in a busy market, and that suits us just fine. We just stay focused on the daily tasks of loading and unloading.
