Ambuja Cement Ltd.

Our place is House No. 1 in the Ambuja Cement Colony, right by the guest house in Lodhimazra. Being in Ropar, it’s a bit different than the big city offices. It’s quieter here, surrounded by the colony roads and the trees. We spend our time managing the flow of materials through this P.O. Lodhimazra area. The guest house is right there, so we see people coming and going for work trips quite often. The office itself is part of the residential colony, which makes the commute very easy for those of us living nearby. We usually start the day with a cup of tea before looking at the dispatch schedules. Since we are in Punjab, the weather changes quite a bit throughout the year, from the biting cold in winter to the dusty heat in May. We have a simple desk setup where the files are kept. It’s a bit of a small space, but we make it work. Most of the talk here is about logistics, truck timings, and checking the stock levels. It’s not a fast-paced environment every single minute, but when the trucks line up, we get busy real fast. We handle the local coordination for Ambuja Cement Ltd. without much fuss. It feels more like a community here than a strictly professional site. People know each other by name, and we just do our jobs steadily throughout the week without needing any fancy office perks. It is just a normal work life.
