We run this electronics business out of House No. 1275 in Sector 52D. It’s basically our home and our workspace all in one, so there’s always something going on. We started it because we’ve always been good at taking things apart and putting them back together. You’ll find a lot of spare parts, wires, and tools scattered around on the workbenches in the front room. We mostly look at TVs, fridges, and smaller appliances that aren't working like they should. It’s not a big retail store with rows of brand new gadgets. Instead, it’s where you bring your old stuff to see if it can be saved from the scrap heap. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive by mail, so things can pile up a bit in the corner of the room. We try to be honest about whether something is actually worth fixing or if it’s just better to buy a new one, because we don't want people wasting money. It gets pretty quiet in this part of the sector, which is nice for focusing on the delicate wiring and soldering work. My wife helps me keep track of the customers and when they’re supposed to pick up their repaired items. We’ve lived here for many years, so most of the neighbors know to just knock on the door if they have an issue with their microwave. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, without any fuss.
