M/S Balaji Imports Pvt Ltd, New Delhi

M/S Balaji Imports Pvt Ltd is actually working out of Chandigarh, even though the company name says New Delhi. Our office is at 1505, on the first floor, in Sector 7 C. It’s a nice enough area of Chandigarh with some trees around. Being an import business means we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking tracking numbers online. It can be quite stressful when shipments are late at the port. The office isn't anything special to look at. Just some old desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets stuffed with papers. We deal with all sorts of items coming in from abroad. Sometimes the paperwork for customs is a real headache and takes up all our time. We have a small staff who knows the daily routine well. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front. Usually, one of us just shouts if the door rings and someone is there. Sector 7 C is a good spot because it’s easy for the delivery trucks to find us without getting lost. We’ve been here for a bit now and have settled in. We handle things as they come. No big five-year plans or anything like that. Just making sure the containers arrive and the customers get their stuff. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for international calls. It’s a quiet life in Chandigarh. We like the pace here.
