Sakonsa Social Welfare Foundation

Sakonsa Social Welfare Foundation is located at House No. 796 in Sector-43A. It is a quiet residential part of Chandigarh, not too far from the main bus stand. We work out of a section of the house, which gives the foundation a very grounded and local feel. There is a small gate at the front and a bit of space where we park our scooters. Inside, it’s just a regular room that we’ve set up with some desks and chairs. It doesn't look like a corporate office at all. We have our papers stacked in piles and a few old cupboards for storage. You can often hear the sounds of the neighborhood, like people chatting or birds in the trees outside. We like working here because it’s calm and doesn't feel like a rush. We usually have a few cups of tea throughout the day while we go through our list of things to do. The furniture is nothing fancy, just some sturdy wooden pieces that have been around for a long time. It’s a very practical way to run a welfare foundation. We don't have a big sign or any marketing materials on display. Most people find us through word of mouth or by looking for the house number. It’s just a simple, honest workspace where we focus on our daily tasks. It feels like a real part of the community, which is exactly how we like it to be.
