Playwrite Foundation

You can find the Playwrite Foundation on the first floor of SCO 19-20 in Sector 19C. This is one of the more established markets in Chandigarh, and it’s always full of life. There are plenty of shops downstairs selling everything from clothes to street food. To get to us, you have to walk up the concrete stairs at the back of the building. Once you’re inside, it’s a fairly large space with big windows that let in a lot of light. We have several desks pushed together and shelves full of books and various papers. It’s a bit of a creative mess sometimes, with notes pinned to the walls and half-empty water bottles scattered around. We don't really bother with a formal office layout. We just put chairs wherever they fit. The noise from the market filters up, so it never feels too quiet or isolated. We spend our days typing away or discussing new ideas for our projects. It’s a very comfortable, lived-in office. We’ve got an old sofa in the corner where we sit when we need a break. We don't have any corporate branding or sleek reception areas. It’s just a place where we come to work and get things done. Being in Sector 19 feels right because it’s central and has a lot of character. It’s a practical, no-nonsense office for the foundation. We like the energy of the area and the simplicity of our workspace here.
