Our office is in one of the M.I.G Super flats in Mohali, specifically 2663-B. It’s a residential building, so it doesn't feel like those big glass office towers you see in the city center. We’ve got desks set up in what used to be living spaces. There are maps of different developments pinned to the walls and stacks of blueprints on the tables. Punjab has seen a lot of building work lately, and Mohali is right at the heart of it. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites checking on progress. The flat itself is a bit cramped with all the files and folders we’ve collected over the years. We make tea in the small kitchen area, and sometimes we sit on the balcony to talk about the day’s work. It’s not a formal environment; people often drop by without an appointment to ask about property or just to see how things are moving along. The parking outside can be a bit of a headache since it’s a residential block, but we manage. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in infrastructure, so there’s always someone typing or stamping documents. It’s honest work, and being based in an MIG flat keeps us close to the kind of housing projects we are often looking at. It’s just a busy local office trying to keep up with the growth happening all around us.
