Pahwa Institute Of Mathematics

The basement here at Sco-80 and 81 in Sector 8C can get a bit cool, which is actually a relief when Chandigarh gets really hot in the summer. We have been at Pahwa Institute Of Mathematics for quite some time. Dealing with math all day isn't for everyone, but it keeps us busy. We spend a lot of time scribbling on the boards and trying to make sense of different equations. It is a simple setup. We have desks, some chairs, and plenty of paper. People find us easily enough in the basement level. The sector is usually bustling, so there is always some noise from the shops above us or the cars parking outside. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy lobby areas. It’s just the classrooms and the workspace where we keep our files. Sometimes we forget what time it is because you can’t see the sun very well from down here. But we have our clocks and our schedules to keep us on track. Most of the people who come here are from around Chandigarh, just looking to get better at their sums. We keep things pretty straightforward. There is a lot of coffee involved some days, especially during exam months when it gets really packed. It's a lot of hard work, but we just take it one day at a time, making sure the place stays organized for whoever walks in next and keeping the whiteboard markers filled up so we are ready for any question.
