Indian Institute For Mobile Technology

The Indian Institute For Mobile Technology is located in Sector 34, up on the third floor. Specifically, we are at Sector 34 A S C O 112 113. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but you get used to it after a while. The office is usually full of students and people wanting to learn the trade. We have benches set up with tools and old phones for practice. It’s not like a regular school with big classrooms. It feels more like a workshop. There’s always someone talking or the sound of a soldering iron heating up. We’ve been in this Sector 34 location for a good bit now. It’s a busy area with a lot of other offices and institutes around, so there is always a lot of foot traffic. We spend our days teaching the basics of how mobile phones actually work and how to fix them when they break. It’s very hands-on. The third-floor space is alright, though it can get a bit stuffy when there are a lot of people in the room. We just open the windows and keep going. We don't have a big marketing budget or flashy brochures. People usually find out about us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are walking through the sector. It’s just a practical place to learn a skill that people actually need these days.
