Karuna Way Foundation

You can find Karuna Way Foundation at house number 171 in Sector 19-A. It’s a nice residential part of Chandigarh with a lot of old houses and big gardens. Working out of a house makes the whole thing feel much less like a job and more like a community project. We use the front rooms for our main work and keep the rest for storage and a small kitchen area. There is a small gate at the front that sometimes squeaks when people come in, but we haven't gotten around to oiling it yet. The neighborhood is very peaceful, which helps when we need to concentrate on difficult tasks. We don't have a big staff, just a few local people who care about what we are doing. We often sit out on the small porch during our tea breaks to talk about what’s next. It isn't a high-tech setup by any means. We have some older laptops and a printer that acts up every now and then. But we manage to get everything finished eventually. People in the sector know us as the folks in 171 who are always busy with something. We like the slow pace of life here. It gives us time to think and work without all the pressure you find in the city center. It’s just a simple house where some good work happens every single day of the week.
