Asha Furniture

Our workshop is at Plot No. 136 in Industrial Area Phase II. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of trucks moving around and the sound of machines everywhere. Asha Furniture has been here for a good bit of time. If you walk in, you’ll probably smell sawdust and wood polish right away. We spend most of our time on the shop floor, cutting wood or putting pieces together. It’s dusty and noisy, but we like the work. We make beds, tables, and cabinets mostly. Nothing is mass-produced in a big factory way; we do it all ourselves with our hands and some basic power tools. Sometimes a piece of wood has a knot we didn't see, and we have to change our plans, but that’s wood for you. We have a small area where we show what we’ve finished, but most of the space is for working. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and standing on your feet all day. We drink a lot of water and try to keep the fans blowing to move the air around. People come to us when they want something that’s going to last longer than the cheap stuff you find online. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just stay busy with the orders that come in from people who know us. It’s honest work and we like seeing a finished piece ready to go.
