You will find us at SCO 90 on the ground floor in Sector 44 C. Despite the long name, the British Institute Of Advanced Study is a pretty down-to-earth place. Being on the ground floor is nice because people can just walk right in from the street. It is a busy part of Chandigarh, so there is always someone passing by. Inside, it is mostly just desks, chairs, and a lot of paper. We handle a lot of different subjects and advanced studies, so the shelves are packed with all sorts of books. I am usually at the front desk, which is often a bit of a mess with forms and pens. It is not one of those places with a uniform or a strict corporate code. We just dress casually and get to work. The tea lady comes by twice a day, and that is usually when we take a short break. The rooms are not huge, but we have arranged them to fit as many people as comfortably as possible. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when multiple classes are happening at once, but that is just how it is. We have been in this spot for several years now, and the neighbors all know us. It is a very ordinary office for doing some serious studying. No bells and whistles, just a place to sit down and focus on getting through the syllabus without any distractions from outside.
