Humanitarian Vision Foundation

Humanitarian Vision Foundation is located at Plot No. 5 in Sector 28 B, right along Madhya Marg. Being on the main road means there is always a lot of traffic noise, but it makes us easy to find for anyone coming into Chandigarh. The building is older and has that solid feel to it. We have a fair amount of space here compared to some of the smaller spots in the city. There are a few trees near the entrance that give a little shade in the afternoons. Inside, it’s mostly just open space where we have set up our workstations. We don’t have a receptionist or anything fancy like that; usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. We spend our days dealing with various bits of paperwork and making calls. It’s not glamorous, but it is what we do. The floor is that old-style stone that stays cold in the winter, so we all wear thick socks. We like the location because we can walk to get lunch at some of the local stalls. It’s a busy part of town, but once you step inside Plot 5, it gets a little bit quieter. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. It is just a functional space where we try to stay on top of things. We have been here for a few years now and know the tea seller on the corner pretty well.
