Hemen Aggarwal

I am Hemen Aggarwal and I work out of Chamber No 71 in Sector 17. The office is located in the Std Amrai Vady area, right by the Punjab Hariyana Court. Being so close to the court means my days are usually dictated by the court schedule. It’s a very busy environment with lawyers and clerks running everywhere with files in their hands. My chamber is small and usually filled to the ceiling with files and law books. There isn't much room to move around, but it's where the work happens. I spend a lot of time reading and preparing for the next day. Sometimes the hallway outside is louder than the office itself, with all the people waiting for their cases. We have a small bench for people to wait on, but it’s not exactly comfortable. It’s a very old building with a lot of history. You can feel it in the walls and the dusty floors. I started here years ago and just stayed. It’s convenient for being near the judges and the other chambers. Most of my clients are people who have been coming to this area for years. We don't do much in the way of marketing. My name is on the door and that’s usually enough. Dealing with the legal system involves a lot of paperwork, but it’s what I know. The tea seller downstairs knows my order by heart now. It’s a routine that works for me in this busy corner of Sector 17.
