We are based at Sco 42-43 in Sector 9-D. This is where Gujarat Ambuja Cement Ltd. runs things for this particular area. It’s a standard shop-cum-office setup. We have two units joined together to give us enough room for the staff and all the files we have to keep for the tax man. Sector 9-D is a pretty established part of the city. We see a lot of the same faces every single week. People stop by to settle their accounts or ask about current prices before they start a new project. We don’t have any fancy signs or expensive furniture inside the office. It’s just metal desks, some old cupboards, and a water cooler that gets a lot of use during the summer months. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but it works for what we need to get done. We usually start the day by checking the messages and seeing what needs our attention first. There is a lot of back-and-forth with the transport guys about where the trucks are. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. We aren't a big corporate headquarters, just a local branch doing the daily grind like everyone else. We keep the doors open through the heat and the rain. It's a steady job and we try to do it right without making a fuss about it.
